Two and three letter word study techniques
Posted by johnG on Monday, March 23 @ 12:17:13 EDT (2051 reads)
Topic Study Approaches
JasonV12 writes "It seems like everyone who is new to Scrabble, has trouble knowing there 2-3 letter words, so they lose a lot of opportunities and challenges. One major reason for this is that the don't know how to study them, or they simply can't remember them. So I listed some "paths" that I've tried and heard and told a little about them. While Reading this remember to study the twos first, it will help you learn a lot of the threes quicker."

What to study and when? Options limitless! Helpful many!
Posted by johnG on Monday, March 23 @ 12:16:36 EDT (1152 reads)
Topic Study Approaches
JasonV12 writes "I've thought much into it and kind of tested at it after hearing and reading many differing opinions. I now understand that what to study sort of varies on what the player knows on strategy, how much they plan to study, how many words the player knows and understands without studying at all yet, and most importantly how much it will benefit them.
So I sort of made a list of possible detailed orders on words only."

How To Play A Phoney
Posted by johnG on Monday, March 23 @ 12:15:31 EDT (883 reads)
Topic Playing
JasonV12 writes "By Jason Vaysberg

I gained 132 rating points in my last tourney going 13-0. It was tough my key to success- suprisingly PHONEYS. I played 22 phonies in a 13 game tournament, I never got challenged on a bad word! I am not saying I encourage the play of phoneys I'm saying that there is a lot of players especially when you move up in ratings there are more and more players who will challenge, so you should know how to play one. I've broken it down to easy steps to follow."
